My Personal Affirmations and Prayers

Day 1

My Affirmations

In all the world, there is no other person like me. I am unique and special to God.

You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:13-16 NIV

I have everything I need to succeed and prosper in life.

I am a blessing to all those I meet or interact with.

It is easy for people to like and love me. I choose friends that are positive, constructive, and productive.

I am loving, wise, and successful.

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:1-3 NIV

 My Personal Prayer

Lord, thank you for loving me and caring for me.

My heart is filled with your love, and my mind is full of this wonderful realization.

And I thank you for being concerned with me and my eternal well-being, for you love me and guide me, providing all I need. Forgive me for my sins or for any harm I may have caused others. Thank you, Lord; your plans for me are always good.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen

Your Four Secrets to Powerful Prayer

  1. Always confess your sins to the Lord your God. This does two powerful things: (A.) It cleanses you of all unrighteousness, and (B.) with your confession, your prayer becomes effective and powerful. Please Read 1John 1:9 and James 5:16
  •   Praying with others. When we come together in agreement with one another, we have greater power. See Matthew 18:19
  • Pray in the Spirit. When you pray with or in the Spirit, you might not understand what you are praying, but God does. These prayers are powerful because they connect you directly to God. See 1Corinthians 14:15
  • Pray as you go about your day; as someone or something comes into your mind, take a few seconds to speak to whatever need comes into your mind. No formal prayer is called for as you pray this way. You might be driving, washing dishes, or at work in an office. The idea is to pray to get that person or need before the Lord. I don’t believe God wants us to beg as our children do sometimes. A sincere prayer on behalf of the need is all God expects.   See 1Thessalonians 5:16-18 ©2023 Glenda Mays Shaw
