Join the world’s largest community of book readers on Goodreads
Are you a book lover? Are you a book reader? GoodReads is the Social Media platform for Book Readers. GoodReads’ mission is to help people find and share books they love.
Why shouldn’t you be a member of this free platform built for readers? Built to connect with other readers and with authors. Here you can find and read more books and keep track of the books you want to read. Harvard University stated that the platform had over 125 million members. That was as of October 2022, and it’s the most current figure I could find.
According to Wikipedia, Goodreads is an American social cataloging website—a subsidiary of Amazon. At Goodreads, you can search its database of 3.5 billion books for annotations, quotes, or reviews. Users can register books to generate library catalogs and reading lists.
Goodreads takes a user’s rating data to provide personalized recommendations.
Amazon is now posting reviews from GoodReads. You can see those reviews of the retailers’ information for those books on its site.
Currently, not all books on Amazon display the Goodreads rating, and it is only on the desktop site. Presumably, this is in beta. Most books have many more ratings on Goodreads. To the reader, it may look more trustworthy.
Reading can be the path to success if you’re trying to learn more about a topic or advance in your career. Goodreads is the place to track your reading progress and list the books you’d like to read.
If you like book clubs, there’s probably one for your genre on GoodReads. If not, you can start one. It’s a free site for readers. The site doesn’t sell books but shows ads and sponsored giveaways. It provides links so that you can purchase through a retailer.
